Genre: Fiction

๐Ÿ‚ Review:

Reading " Curled Crystal " by S Nimma felt like stepping into someone’s heart when it’s at its most fragile. This book doesn’t just tell Veronica’s story, it makes you feel her pain, her fears, her longing, and her quiet strength. It talks about trauma, betrayal, and mental health struggles with such raw honesty that at times I felt like I wasn’t just reading about her, I was walking right beside her.

What touched me most was how real it felt. The way Nimma shows the exhaustion of pretending to be okay, of smiling when you’re breaking inside, of holding on to people as if they’re lifelines,it all resonated deeply. The story doesn’t try to give quick fixes or happy endings. Instead, it gently reminds us that survival itself is powerful, even when it doesn’t look perfect.

๐Ÿ‚My experience with this book: There were times I had to put it down and take a deep breath, because the emotions were so heavy and close to the bone. But every time I returned, I felt like I understood Veronica a little more, and in some ways, even parts of myself. It’s the kind of book that stays with you, not because it’s easy, but because it feels true.

This isn’t a light or comforting read, and the trigger warnings are important to keep in mind. But if you’ve ever carried battles within yourself or wanted to feel less alone in your pain, Curled Crystal will hold up a mirror and softly say, I see you.
