🍂 Review:
This is my first book of Abby Jimenez, and I honestly didn’t expect it to wrap around my heart the way it did. From the very first page, it felt like someone whispering, “Hey, love isn’t perfect, but it’s real — and that’s enough.” It’s not just a romance; it’s a tender reminder that even when life gets unbearably hard, having someone by your side can make it feel bearable again.
Xavier and Samantha aren’t flawless storybook lovers — they’re messy, kind, stubborn, so heartbreakingly human. They love big, fight hard, and hold each other through things that don’t magically fix themselves overnight. It’s the small, quiet moments that make this story so special — the laughter in between tears, the warmth of a family coming together, the promise that some people are worth the fight, no matter how heavy life gets.
What I adored most is how Abby writes her characters and their pain so truthfully. There are no fairytale solutions here — no hidden miracle to erase Samantha’s mother’s illness, no magic fix for life’s everyday struggles. And yet, the way she tells this story makes it feel like the most beautiful fairytale anyway. It’s about ordinary people loving each other in extraordinary ways, through grief, laughter, mustard jokes, and memories that will break and heal you at the same time.
If you’ve ever wished for a story that feels like a tight hug on the days you feel alone, this is it. It made me cry, smile, and believe a little harder in the kind of love that doesn’t run when things get hard. I’m so glad I found Abby’s writing — and I can’t wait to get lost in more of her books. If you need something warm, real, and deeply human — please pick this one up. It might just find a forever spot in your heart too. 💙✨
