Calm In The Storm

🍂 Review: I picked up " Calm in the Storm" by Brother Phap Huu and Jo Confino when I was feeling a little mentally drained, and it turned out to be a very comforting read. It speaks about things we all deal with stress, overthinking, burnout, and that constant pressure to keep everything together even when we’re not okay inside. What I liked is that it doesn’t try to act like it has all the answers. There’s no “do this and everything will be perfect” kind of advice. Instead, it gently reminds you to slow down, breathe, and come back to yourself. The writing feels simple and honest, and the small mindfulness practices are actually doable, not overwhelming. A few parts really made me pause and reflect on how hard I’ve been on myself without even realising it. I also appreciated how it connects personal healing with the way we show up in the world.
